BARCELONA, SPAIN-(30-3-2004) Today edition of the Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week has finalized. The meteorological conditions have marked happening of the competition the four days of regata, which so single it was possible to be disputed to a test in the day of Sunday the classes Europe, Laser, Finn, 470 Masculine and Femenino and Yngling.
Three Spanish crews have finalized in zone of podium after the only test that have been able to celebrate, with which although the regata has not added the four tests so that it is valid, yes are winners in the classes that could sail.
In this case in Yngling with Mònica Azón/Graciela Pisonero/Marina Sanchez Ferrer they have been second behind the crew of Olympic Championship Shirley Robertson along with Sarah Ayton and Sarah Webb. The third seat has been for the Germans Kristin Wagner/Anna Hoell/Verónica Lochbrunner.
In the Finn class the Rafa Trujillo follows in his great line of form and results and has finished third in the Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week after being third in the first test, that the French Florent Guillaume, followed of the Russians Evgeny Chernov, seconds has won.
In the Masculine class the 470 Gustavo Martinez Doreste and Dimas Wood are has been also third. The Israelis Gideon Kliger/Udi the Gal have won. In the woman category Natàlia Via-Dufresne and Sandra Azon have finalized in the ninth position, have prevailed the Russians Vlada Ilienko/Natalia Gaponovich.
In the Laser class there were two groups with which making a joint general classification, Mariano Sarmiento has been the best Spanish in the seventh position in the Group A, whereas the canary Luis Martinez Doreste is eleventh. In joint general Sarmiento it has finished thirteenth, the Angelo Tabernero, nineteenth and Martinez, twenty first. Both first they have been the German Mathias Rieck and the Italian Diego Negri.
In the Europe class, category that was puntuable for the Spanish Olympic Equipment, Neus Garriga has been the best Spanish, has finished in tenth third in the general, followed of Alicia Cebrián, tenth fourth. In this class he has been puntuable for the Spanish equipment of Europe of the Olympic Games of Athens. The Polish crews dominated the only test disputed with the two first seats, Katarzyna Szotynska first, followed of Weronika Glienkiewicz. Third it has been the Irish Maria Coleman.
